Session Times

• Children attend two full days of preschool per week from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM and one half day every second Friday morning from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
• Group one children attend Mondays, Wednesdays and odd weeks on a Friday mornings (ie: weeks 1,3,5,7,9).
• Group 2 children attend Tuesdays and Thursdays and every even week Friday morning (ie: week 2,4,6,8).

The pre-entry program is negotiated each term depending on availability of spaces.

Snacks and Drinks
Children need enough food for two snack items and one lunch. They will also need to bring a named water bottle. We seek parents' support to encourage and provide healthy snacks and lunches. Do not send any items containing nuts or traces of nuts. Please read the ingredient list on pre-packaged food items.

Bag Hooks and Pocket Chart
The children hang their bags and other belongings on the hooks outside. Newsletters and notices to parents are placed in each child's "pocket" outside the door. Please check them regularly.

Sun Safe
All children must wear a hat that shades their face, ears and neck while playing outside when the UV Level is 3 and above. Sunscreen is available at the preschool, and educators will also reapply sunscreen at lunch time when needed.

Clothing
Please dress your child in comfortable, easily managed clothing appropriate for preschool activities such as: climbing, running, painting and sand play. Also, children need to be able to go to the toilet independently. In the interest of your child's safety, thongs are not acceptable footwear as they are dangerous on the climbing equipment. Encourage your child to practise putting on socks and shoes by themselves.

Governing Council / Parent Representatives
The Governing Council is the parent decision-making body in the school. The Preschool has a representative on the Council. If you have any school/preschool issues you would like to raise through Governing Council please contact our current representative. A group of preschool parent representatives is formed annually and have regular meetings.
